John D.⁸ Garlinger (William⁷, William⁶, Jacob⁵, "George" Johannes Georgius⁴, Johann Heinrich³ Gerlinger, Phillippus Jacobus², Christoph¹) (#425) was born in Marion, Hardin, Ohio February 11, 1874. John died 1971 in Bluffton, Allen, Ohio, at 97 years of age. His body was interred in Bluffton Cem., Allen, Ohio.

He married Elizabeth in Hardin, Ohio, about 1895. (Elizabeth is #879.) Elizabeth was born in Ohio August 1878.

John D. Garlinger and Elizabeth had the following children:
