Minerva Jane⁸ Garlinger (John Jacob⁷, William⁶, Jacob⁵, "George" Johannes Georgius⁴, Johann Heinrich³ Gerlinger, Phillippus Jacobus², Christoph¹) (#375) was born in Liberty Twp., Hardin, Ohio February 3, 1850. Minerva died September 19, 1914 in Liberty Twp., Hardin, Ohio, at 64 years of age. Her body was interred in Woodlawn, Hardin, Ohio.

She married John Gerkey in Hardin, Ohio, January 12, 1871. (John Gerkey is #776.) !CHILDREN: Minerva had five children, two sons who died in infancy an d three daughters. As of 1914 at the time of her death her daughters were lis ted as Mrs. W.F. Brooks of Grand Rapids, Mich. Miss Mary Gerkey of Detroit Miss Laura Gerkey
