• Notes. The village of Lembach is located in the Vosges Mountains, in northern Alsace, now France.
During Michael's lifetime, Lembach and the region of Alsace was part of the Holy Roman Empire of German Nations.

Michael married Anna Margaretha Frick on November 9, 1623, in Lembach. (See photo on the left)

'Michael Schlaeber, Michaelis Schlabers ehelicher son, und Anna Margaretha, Nicoli Fricken buergers und Muellers zu Schoenau eheliche tochter.
Which means in English; 'Michael Schlaeber, Michaelis Schlaber's legitimate son, and Anna Margaretha, Nicoli Frick's , citizen and miller in Schoenau, legitimate daughter.

By profession Michael , as were so many others in his family, was a wagoner.

His and Margaretha's known children:
Nicolaus, born 30 Jan 1625
Hanss Michael, born (or baptized) 18 July 1626
Hans Peter, born 26 April 1629
Balthasar, born 3 July 1631
All above children were born in Lembach.

Deaths in Lembach were not recorded in the church book until 1699.
It is therefore unknown when Michael died, or where he was buried.

Note: Above date of birth is approximate, as births in Lembach were not recorded until 1603.
There was no unified spelling for names in the 17th century, so spelling of names varies.
For example; Schlaber, Schleber, Schlaeber, etc..
