He married Sondra Kay Moore in Winchester, Randolph, Indiana, 27 September 1957. Sondra was born in Bryant, Jay, Indiana 2 October 1939. Sondra was the daughter of Russell Moore and Helen Lucille Myers. Sondra died 27 June 1978 at 38 years of age. Her body was interred in Lawndale Cem., Ridgeville, Indiana.
